When I set my tank up I did a lot of research to figure out what were going to be the most colorful cichlids I could put into a 30 gal. After talking to a lot of people at aquaria central, I settled on P.S. Saulosi's.

I looked everywhere for sexed males/females but the only person that I could find that had any was Dave's Rare Fish out of TX. He did as best he could but I got 4-5 males and 1 female (not a good mix!)

I need to find someway to get some females. I called Dave but he said he doesn't keep them long enough to get them sexed. Can anyone help? All my fish are in good health and show no signs of disease. Ii am willing to buy/trade if anyone is keeping these little guys!

Have you tried aquabid? Another option is to go to "cichlid forum" and search their sponsors and the trading post. With cichlids most breeders sell way before the fish are able to be sexed, that's what I went with WC.

On our next order (in a couple of weeks) I will see if I can find some larger saulosi. I'll let you know.

Thanks Keith. I only need females, 4-6 I think would be good.

Do they really only get to 3-4"? if so I may get 5 for my tank, (I've been looking for some variation).
