I recently got a female BN from Ed,(Edward***); went to a swim meet out of town for the weekend, and now this morning while taking inventory to make sure no one died while I was gone found my missing male BN sitting on a substantial clutch of eggs!

The one problem I have is that the BNs are in my lab tank and I know that the fry will get ate if I don't do something but I am not sure about moving the eggs and the dad. What do I do?

The eggs are under a flat rock that was propped up near the drift wood in the tank so moving the eggs will be trickier than if I had used a cave, but my real concern is will the male still sit on the eggs if I move him to a completely different tank... Confused

eggs should all be stick together, if you can get an egg tumbler and put the eggs in it you can raise the babies. Chances are you will make the labs really happy with BN snack, since you said the male is takin care of the eggs under a rock and not a cave that makes it harder for the move. if you put a cave for future spawning you will be able to move him to a different tank with little to no stress at all.

Ps: i will be getting more caves to sell soon.
